Town Restaurant

TOWN is a restaurant that combines a variety of Chinese cuisine to excite and delight its customers. Their vision for the future is to create experiential dining that is more than just a night out. They aim to bring quality and luxury across all aspects of their brand. This project was created using InDesign since it is used for designing digital and print publications. While creating this menu, I struggled with the layout and hierarchy, however, I was able to design a menu that followed the brief for the project. My design approach to this project was to provide a luxurious feel, as this restaurant wants to cater to an adult and more sophisticated audience between the ages of 30 and 60. With that said, my original iterations of the designs were more minimalistic and lacked images. After receiving feedback and analyzing the websites of other high-end Chinese restaurants, I incorporated red Chinese lanterns in the menu to include elements that reflected the culture of the restaurant. According to my research, red Chinese lanterns represent joy and good fortune, which aligns with Town’s vision and fits the color palette. For this project, all guidelines were followed, and I did not deviate from the original directions.
