Pineapple Notebook Design

The original design of this project was a collage for a graphic design business designed with Photoshop. This design was inspired by the 80s neon style and had a focus on bright colors and included color gradients, text, and images. When revisiting this design, and gathering feedback, I realized that it did not have a clear purpose. While brainstorming for this new iteration, I thought about ways I could revisit the design with a specific objective. I ended up choosing a notebook design because it reminded me of how I used to decorate my school notebooks with magazine clippings when I was a teenager. In this new iteration, I removed many elements such as the “logo”, and the pattern in the background. I preserved the color gradient background and the images of hands and pineapples. This design was then applied to a notebook mockup. As previously mentioned, I deviated from the original purpose of the project because it did not have a clear goal other than experimenting with Photoshop. However, my original design, along with a clear purpose, helped define my final design.
