How to Propagate a Plant Infographic

The original animated infographic was created to inform the user on how to easily propagate a plant and was originally designed with Illustrator and Adobe Animate, however, for the redesign, I chose to design a static infographic and only used Illustrator. For this iteration, I first sketched the outline of what the infographic would look like, drawing layout inspiration from other “how to” infographics on the web. In this design, I added appropriate space between elements, used colors to differentiate the different sections, included grid patterns to ensure consistency throughout the design, and added a different typeface for the subheadings. Then, I created the illustrations with the pen tool on Illustrator to provide a visual aid that supports the copy in the infographic. For this design, I did not receive substantial feedback, however, I revisited the design with fresh eyes, and made some changes, such as the layout, colors, as well as including a patterned background. The presentation of the finalized design included the sketch as well as a print-ready file, which demonstrates my design process and craftsmanship.
